This bill requires disclosure of conflicts of interest in academic institutions. It requires the Board of Higher Education to establish a policy that academic faculty and staff must disclose any financial relationships with entities outside of their primary employer or a government agency. The policy and disclosure information must be made publicly available online. The bill also requires the Board to collaborate with the State Ethics Commission to issue guidelines to help institutions develop and comply with these conflict of interest policies.
