Prevent Plastic Grocery Bags from Entering the Environment: This section bans retail establishments from providing single-use plastic bags and requires them to charge for recycled paper bags and reusable bags. 2. Reduce Polystyrene in the Environment: This section prohibits food and retail establishments from using or selling disposable food service items made from foam or solid polystyrene. 3. Reduce Plastic Straws in the Environment: This section prohibits food establishments from providing disposable plastic straws, stirrers, or splash sticks, except upon customer request or for customers with disabilities. 4. Additionally, the bill sets requirements for the removal of certain toxic substances in beverage containers, food ware, and food packaging.
