This bill amends several sections of Massachusetts law to require insurance coverage for services provided by licensed occupational therapists and occupational therapy assistants. Specifically, it adds "or a licensed occupational therapist or occupational therapy assistant" to the end of sections related to insurance coverage for mental health providers under the state's Group Insurance Commission, as well as chapters of the state's insurance laws covering individual, non-group, and HMO plans. This expands the types of mental health providers that must be covered by insurance in Massachusetts.
