This bill aims to increase transparency around the use of electronic weapons and devices, such as stun guns, by public safety officials. It requires that if a stun gun is discharged by a law enforcement or public safety official, the details of the discharge, including the time, duration, serial number of the stun gun used, and the identity of the official, must be reported within 24 hours to the official's commanding officer and the state Attorney General. Additionally, any contractor responsible for collecting stun gun data for the state must also report the time, duration, and serial number of the discharged stun gun to the Attorney General within 24 hours.
