This bill requires major policymakers, regardless of whether they receive compensation, to disclose to the Office of Campaign and Political Finance any transfers of money or other valuable items to certain tax-exempt organizations and other entities that engage in political activities, such as contributing to candidates, ballot questions, or electioneering communications. The bill also requires political committees to report the identities of any major policymakers who have made transfers of over $1,000 to these types of entities. The purpose of this legislation is to increase transparency around the political activities of major policymakers.
