This bill amends section 24 of chapter 90 of the General Laws to expand the duty of a motor vehicle operator to stop and remain at the scene of a collision. The bill adds language requiring an operator to stop and remain at the scene if they have "reason to know" they collided with or caused injury to any vehicle, property, or person, even if the collision did not result in a death. This broadens the existing requirement, which only applies to collisions resulting in death.
