This bill establishes a 25% toll discount on the Massachusetts Turnpike, the Ted Williams Tunnel, and the Tobin Bridge for drivers aged 65 and over. To qualify, the driver must have a valid Massachusetts driver's license and own or rent the passenger vehicle. The discount will expire 60 days after the license expires, but can be renewed upon license renewal. Unauthorized use of the discount will result in fines, and repeated violations can lead to a permanent revocation of the discount. The Executive Office of Transportation will create the rules and regulations to implement this discount within the existing toll collection system.
