This bill amends Massachusetts state law to prohibit condominium associations from preventing unit owners from flying or displaying the flag of the United States on a flagpole, base, or stand affixed to the unit's limited common area, or from displaying an official flag of the U.S. Armed Forces or a Prisoner of War/Missing in Action flag in a window of the unit, as long as the flag is no larger than 4.5 feet by 6 feet and the display is consistent with federal law and does not obstruct the sightlines of other owners or violate any easement restrictions. The bill also prohibits condominium associations from entering into agreements that would restrict or impair a unit owner's right to display these flags.
