This bill amends Section 6B of Chapter 115 of the General Laws to allow veteran's applications for annuities to remain valid until the veteran's death, and to require the parents and eligible surviving spouses of veterans to reapply for the annuity once a calendar year, with the provision that they will be eligible to receive the annuity compensation they would have been eligible for in the year after the veteran's death during their first year of application. The bill also allows any eligible veterans, parents, or surviving spouses who did not receive an annuity due to failure to apply to retroactively apply for 90 days following the enactment of this act.
