This bill aims to further regulate certain rental property tax credits. It allows cities, towns, or political subdivisions in the Commonwealth to grant property tax credits on rental dwellings to owners who provide reduced rents for tenants who are at least 65 years old, permanently and totally disabled and qualified for federal or state disability benefits, or have been found permanently and totally disabled by the local government. The bill also allows these jurisdictions to establish specific eligibility requirements, limitations, credit amounts, and durations, as well as other provisions to implement the tax credit program.
