This bill prohibits nondisclosure agreements that prevent the disclosure of information related to claims of sexual harassment, discrimination based on sex, gender identity or sexual orientation, or retaliation for reporting such incidents. It allows victims to request that their identity be shielded in settlement agreements, but otherwise voids any provisions that prevent the disclosure of factual information about such claims. The bill also prohibits the use of public funds to settle such claims against public employees and allows for professional discipline of attorneys who demand or advise clients to include prohibited nondisclosure provisions.
