This bill establishes a permanent commission on sexual assault and domestic violence service providers in Massachusetts. The commission will study current practices and service standards, and make recommendations for uniform minimum standards for these providers across the state. The executive office of health and human services, in collaboration with the commission, will promulgate these uniform standards, which will cover areas like training, policies/procedures, and quality improvements. To receive state funding, providers must adhere to these standards, with some exceptions for those working on improvement plans. The commission and executive office will also report annually on provider compliance with the standards.
