This bill amends the laws in Massachusetts to allow private detectives and private investigators, as defined in Chapter 147 Section 22 and licensed in accordance with Section 25 of Chapter 147, to access certain data and computer equipment controlled by the Registrar of Motor Vehicles under Section 30A of Chapter 90. The bill also prohibits the use of the registry's facial recognition system by these private investigators and detectives, and specifies that the license of a licensee who violates these provisions will be revoked.
