This bill aims to amend Chapter 32: Section 60 of the existing law by removing the provision that excludes veterans whose employment began after June 30, 1939, from the sections 56 to 59, which deal with public employee retirement and pensions. Additionally, the bill removes the requirement that a veteran's total period of creditable service must be at least twice the time they were not employed by the commonwealth or a local government entity in order to be subject to those sections.
