This bill authorizes the state retirement board to credit Robin Blatt, a member of the state employees' retirement system, with 2 years of creditable service for service Blatt rendered to the department of public health from April 4, 1983 to June 22, 1985. This additional creditable service will be used to determine Blatt's superannuation retirement allowance under the state's retirement system. Before the retirement allowance becomes effective, Blatt must pay into the annuity savings fund an amount equal to the regular deductions that would have been withheld from their compensation for the previous service, without any interest payment. This act does not affect any other retirement benefits Blatt may be entitled to.
