This bill proposes to grant a state income tax exemption for certain school-related expenses. Specifically, it would allow taxpayers to deduct from their Part B income (a tax classification) any fees paid to a municipality or public school district for the purpose of student transportation to or from a public school, as well as fees for a student's participation in athletic, academic, enrichment, or other activity programs at a public school.
