Bill Summary

AN ACT relating to property; revising provisions relating to summary evictions; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

AI Summary

This bill repeals the existing summary eviction procedures in Nevada for certain tenants who default on rent or are guilty of unlawful detainer for other reasons, and establishes new procedures for those types of summary evictions. The new procedures are similar to the repealed ones, but with some differences in the required contents of the written notice, the filing requirements with the court, and the timeline for removing a tenant. The bill also requires courts to automatically seal eviction case files in certain circumstances, and makes other changes related to summary evictions.
