This Resolution celebrates the 25th Anniversary of Spectrum Autism Support Group, recognizing its significant contributions in providing support, education, and resources to individuals and families affected by autism spectrum disorders (ASD) in Georgia, particularly in the Gwinnett and Metro Atlanta areas. Established in 1998 by two mothers, the group has grown substantially, now reaching over 8,000 individuals annually and offering a wide range of services including support and social skills groups, camps, respite care, and community education. The resolution acknowledges Spectrum's ongoing mission to improve the lives of those impacted by autism by addressing community service gaps and highlights their upcoming opening of a new facility, the Spectrum Autism Support Center. The Secretary of the Senate is directed to provide a copy of this resolution to Spectrum Autism Support Group.
