AN ACT to amend the public health law, in relation to extending wage parity for home care workers in upstate New York
AI Summary
This bill extends wage parity for home care workers in upstate New York. Specifically, it amends the public health law to require that the minimum rate of home care aide compensation in all counties outside of the New York City metropolitan area be the minimum rate for the applicable region, plus an additional $3.22 per hour, effective October 1, 2023 and onwards.
