This bill appropriates $1,123,677,600 to the Public Schools Educational Support Program's Division of Operations for fiscal year 2024. * $1,055,145,400 is transferred from the General Fund to the Public School Income Fund. * $61,532,200 is appropriated from the Public School Endowment Income Fund. * $7,000,000 is appropriated from the Public Schools Other Income Fund. * $36,500,000 is allocated for classroom technology, infrastructure, and learning management systems, distributed based on a formula set by the State Department of Education. * School districts and charter schools will receive an estimated $19,537 per support unit in discretionary funds for the fiscal year. * School districts and charter schools will receive an estimated $21,854 per support unit for health, vision, and dental benefits or insurance. Any excess funds not used for these benefits can be used at the discretion of the school district or charter school. * The State Department of Education is authorized to transfer funds between certain divisions of the Public Schools Educational Support Program to comply with public school funding provisions. * The bill also amends Idaho Code Section 33-1004E to adjust the base salary for classified staff apportionment from $24,841 to $38,802, effective July 1, 2023.
