This bill establishes the Mental Health Professional Student Loan Forgiveness Program, which will be administered by the Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency (PHEAA). The program provides financial awards of up to $22,500 to eligible applicants who have completed at least half of the credit hours needed for an undergraduate or master's degree in a mental health field and commit to working in the mental health field focusing on early childhood through adolescence for at least seven years.
