This bill amends the public health law to apply a special Medicaid rate for individuals returning from incarceration who are receiving long-term nursing or medical services in certain facilities or discrete units within facilities. Specifically, it adds these facilities or units to the categories of facilities that are entitled to receive rates no less than those in effect on December 31, 2006, as adjusted for inflation. This is intended to ensure appropriate Medicaid reimbursement for the specialized services provided to this population.
