This bill amends the environmental conservation law to define "wild animal" as indigenous, non-domesticated animals native to the country in which they live, and "exotic animal" as a wild animal with an origin of a different continent. It adds certain wild or exotic animals, such as non-human primates, felidae, canidae, and various reptile and mammal species, to the list of non-companion animals. The bill also provides a license process for certain owners of wild or exotic animals who possessed them at the time the law takes effect, as long as they meet certain criteria.
