This bill aims to ensure fair reimbursement under the Medicaid program for services performed in an Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC). Specifically, it requires the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Health Benefits (DHB) to set and adjust rates for new ASC services at 95% of the Medicare ASC fee schedule. It also mandates that a new procedure code, G0330, be reimbursed at 95% of the Medicare Part B Hospital Outpatient Prospective Payment System (OPPS) rate, and requires that these services be covered by all standard benefit plans and Behavioral Health and Intellectual/Developmental Disability (BH IDD) tailored plans.
