This bill: - Increases criminal penalties for offenses involving adult theaters, including requiring owners, operators, or managers to obtain and verify proof of identity and age for employees and independent contractors. - Provides a civil cause of action for victims of human trafficking against adult theaters or their owners, operators, or managers who knowingly allow victims to work, perform, or dance at the theater. Victims may recover economic and non-economic damages, punitive damages, attorney's fees, and costs. - Authorizes judicial circuits to establish educational programs for persons convicted of or charged with soliciting prostitution, to include topics related to the relationship between commercial sex and human trafficking, the impact on victims, and the reasons for engaging in prostitution. - Creates a Statewide Data Repository for Anonymous Human Trafficking Data at the University of South Florida to collect and analyze data to better understand trafficking trends, evaluate anti-trafficking initiatives, and inform statewide efforts. Requires certain law enforcement agencies, state agencies, and service providers to report data to the repository.
