This bill establishes the Alaska Work and Save Program, which is a retirement savings program for employees in Alaska who are not offered a qualified retirement plan by their employer. The bill creates the Alaska Retirement Savings Board to develop and administer the program, set contribution rates, and manage the investment of participant accounts. The program automatically enrolls eligible employees, but allows them to opt out or adjust their contribution rates. The bill also amends the Alaska Permanent Fund Dividend application process to allow contributions to the Alaska Work and Save Program participant accounts.
