This bill amends chapter 131 of title 5 of the United States Code to require Senior Executive Service (SES) and Schedule C employees in the executive branch to disclose their outstanding federal student loan debt. Specifically, the bill requires these "covered employees" to file annual reports detailing the principal and interest owed on their federal student loans, including those made under Parts B, D, and E of Title IV of the Higher Education Act. New covered employees must also file a report within 60 days of assuming their position. Additionally, the Director of the Office of Government Ethics must transmit an annual report to Congress with the total amount owed by all covered employees and the names of any who failed to report the required information.
