This bill, the Airport Infrastructure Vehicle Security Act, amends Title 49 of the United States Code to apply certain limitations to the requirements for buying goods produced in the United States for certain airport-related projects. Specifically, it prohibits the use of federal financial assistance to award contracts or subcontracts for the procurement of rolling stock (such as trains or buses) for airport projects if the manufacturer of the rolling stock is owned or controlled by, or is otherwise legally or financially related to, a corporation based in a country that is considered a nonmarket economy, is on the U.S. Trade Representative's priority watch list, and is subject to monitoring. However, the bill provides an exception for minority relationships or investments that do not involve the export of rolling stock or components to the United States.
