This bill revives and continues the Citizens Commission established under Chapter 322 of the Acts of 2018 to promote and advance a constitutional amendment to secure government of the people. The key provisions include: 1. Reviving and continuing the Citizens Commission until the proposed constitutional amendment(s) are ratified. 2. Providing administrative support to the Commission from the governor's office. 3. Requiring the Speaker and Senate President to consult with their respective minority leaders when making appointments to the Commission. 4. Establishing a process for filling vacancies on the Commission. 5. Authorizing the Commission to appoint a secretary. 6. Requiring the Commission to issue annual reports on its activities, findings, and recommendations to promote and ratify the proposed amendment(s), including an analysis of related amendments introduced in Congress. 7. Mandating the distribution of the Commission's reports to various state and federal officials, as well as the public. 8. Directing the Commission to continue engaging with elected officials, other states, the public, and the media to build support for the amendment(s).
