This bill, the Superior National Forest Restoration Act, aims to rescind a previous public land order that withdrew federal lands in Minnesota's Superior National Forest, and to reinstate mineral leases and permits that were previously canceled in that area. The bill also requires the Secretary of the Interior or Agriculture to complete environmental and regulatory reviews of mine plans of operations within the Superior National Forest within 18 months, for plans submitted before the bill's enactment and for those submitted or resubmitted in the 7 years following the bill's enactment. Additionally, the bill directs the Secretary to reissue previously canceled mineral leases, preference right leases, and prospecting permits on the same terms as before their cancellation, without subjecting these reissued leases and permits to judicial review.
