This bill: 1. Establishes a missing persons unit within the division of state police to investigate missing persons reports and work with the missing and exploited women and children clearinghouse. 2. Adds women to the responsibilities of the existing missing and exploited children clearinghouse, which coordinates efforts to address the issues of missing and exploited women and children. 3. Requires that by January 1, 2025, the curriculum for law enforcement training include content on missing and exploited women and missing and exploited women and children of color and indigenous descent. 4. Expands the reporting duties of law enforcement departments to include missing women, in addition to missing children. 5. Creates a process for law enforcement to promptly dispatch information about missing women over the police communication system. 6. Amends the missing and exploited women and children clearinghouse fund to ensure it can be used for activities and purposes related to the prevention of exploitation and recovery of missing women and children. 7. Allows individuals to make voluntary contributions to the missing and exploited women and children clearinghouse fund through their state personal income tax return.
