AI Summary
This bill amends the Public Health Code to add a new section (20952a) that places restrictions on the practice of emergency medical services (EMS) personnel holding temporary licenses. Specifically, it requires emergency medical technicians (EMTs), emergency medical technician specialists, and paramedics with temporary licenses to practice only under the direct supervision of EMS personnel with regular licenses. The bill also includes a tie-bar provision, meaning it will not take effect unless a related bill (House Bill 4613) is also enacted into law. The overall purpose of this bill is to ensure appropriate oversight and supervision of EMS personnel with temporary licenses in order to protect public health and safety.
