This bill prohibits insurance companies from refusing to issue or renew, canceling, charging an increased premium, or excluding, limiting, restricting, or reducing coverage for homeowners' or renters' insurance policies solely based on the policyholder harboring or owning any dog of a specific breed or mixture of breeds. The bill applies to all policies issued, renewed, modified, altered, or amended on or after the effective date, which is 90 days after the bill becomes law.
