This bill amends the New York vehicle and traffic law to remove the word "congressional" from the distinctive license plates issued to Medal of Honor recipients residing in the state. It also provides for the reissuance of these plates to any person who was previously assigned such a plate, without any fee or service charge. The bill also states that any "Congressional Medal of Honor" plates issued prior to the effective date of this act will remain valid.
