This bill authorizes the Nassau County assessor to accept an application for a real property tax exemption from 786 Muhammadi Masjid, Inc. for certain school and general taxes. The bill allows the assessor to review the application as if it had been filed by the appropriate taxable status date, and if the organization would otherwise be entitled to the exemption, the assessor may make appropriate corrections to the subject tax rolls. If the exemption is granted, the applicable governing body or tax department may refund any taxes paid and cancel any unpaid taxes, fines, penalties, liens, or interest.
