This bill amends Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes to further provide for additional parking regulations. The key provisions include requiring vehicles parked along a highway with an adjacent on-street pedestrian plaza or pedalcycle (bicycle) lane to be positioned within 12 inches of the outside line of the buffer area between the plaza/lane and parking. It also allows local authorities to limit access to parking spaces reserved for people with disabilities and charge a reasonable fee, as long as they comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act. The bill also establishes penalties for violating these parking regulations, ranging from a fine of up to $15 to up to $300 depending on the offense. The bill may be referred to as Susan's and Emily's Law.
