This bill amends the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes to add a new chapter that provides for the repudiation of discriminatory real estate covenants. Key provisions include: nullifying existing unlawful restrictive covenants that discriminate based on race, color, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, marital status, familial status, citizenship or immigration status, disability, or other protected classes; allowing property owners to file a form with the county recorder to repudiate such unlawful covenants; requiring the Department of Community and Economic Development to develop a standardized repudiation form; and allowing the boards of common interest ownership communities to repudiate unlawful restrictive covenants in their declarations without a full vote of unit owners.
