This bill amends the Public Buildings Law and the State Finance Law to increase the threshold for when the Commissioner of General Services can delegate responsibility for minor construction projects from $150,000 to $200,000, and to increase the threshold for when a bond is required for "work done by special order" from $100,000 to $200,000. Additionally, the bill allows performance and payment bonds to be dispensed with for public improvement contracts under $200,000 if the agency head finds it to be in the public interest.
