This bill amends the New York City Building Code to require additional information to be posted on sidewalk sheds and scaffolds. Specifically, it requires the sidewalk shed parapet information panels to include the issuance date of the sidewalk shed permit, the expiration date of the permit and any renewals. For scaffolds, the bill requires a sign to be posted that includes the street address, the name of the contractor or owner, the issuance date of the scaffold permit, the expiration date of the permit and any renewals, and a statement directing the public to the NYC Buildings website for more information. The bill also requires the New York City Department of Buildings to update the relevant figure in the building code and establish the layout and content of the required signage.
