This bill amends the Land Division Act to modify the number of parcels that can result from the division of a parent parcel or tract. Specifically, it increases the number of parcels permitted for the first 10 acres from 4 to 20, and allows for additional parcels for larger parent parcels. The bill also includes provisions allowing for additional parcels in certain circumstances, such as when new roads are established or one of the resulting parcels comprises at least 60% of the original parent parcel. Additionally, the bill authorizes municipalities to allow for further partitioning or splitting of parcels or tracts that have not been farmland in the preceding 3 years, beyond the limits otherwise set forth in the Act.
