AI Summary
This bill amends the Child Protection Law to replace references to the "children's ombudsman" with the "child advocate." The bill also requires the Department of Health and Human Services to notify the child advocate within one business day when a child dies under certain circumstances, such as during an active child protective services investigation or if the child's death may have resulted from abuse or neglect. The bill ties to Senate Bill 432, which means it will not take effect unless that bill is also enacted.
