AN ACT to amend the labor law, in relation to automated employment decision tools

This bill amends the labor law in New York to require employers and employment agencies to notify job candidates if they use automated employment decision tools, such as machine learning algorithms, to screen candidates. The bill defines an "automated employment decision tool" as any computational process that assists or replaces discretionary decision-making in employment decisions.
