This bill amends the Help America Vote Act of 2002 to establish certain requirements for the timely processing and reporting of results with respect to a District of Columbia election. The key provisions include: 1) requiring the District of Columbia to begin processing ballots received by mail as soon as they are received and to ensure that the election results are reported to the public no later than 10:00 am the day after the election, but not before the polls close on election day; 2) requiring the District of Columbia to publish the total number of voted ballots in the possession of election officials as of the time the polls close on election day; and 3) requiring bipartisan election administration activity, such as having election workers accompanied by an individual registered with a different political party.
