This bill aims to support nationals of Afghanistan who supported the United States mission in Afghanistan and provide for their adjustment to conditional permanent resident status in the United States. The bill also establishes an Interagency Task Force to develop and oversee a strategy for resettling at-risk Afghan allies outside the U.S., creates a new special immigrant visa category for certain relatives of members of the U.S. Armed Forces, and reforms the parole process for granting temporary entry to the U.S. for urgent humanitarian reasons or significant public benefit.
