The study will also examine the alignment of these directives with international human rights and environmental obligations, as well as their legal basis for extraterritorial reach. The SEC must submit a report to Congress and relevant stakeholders, including recommendations for potential mitigating measures, alternative approaches, or modifications to address any concerns identified in the study.
