This bill requires the Comptroller General of the United States to conduct a study on rural weather monitoring systems. The study will examine the capacity, geographical differences, availability of resources, and number of rural areas affected by unreliable or unavailable accurate weather monitoring systems. It will also identify the need for updated weather monitoring and the barriers rural areas face in obtaining and upgrading these systems. The study must be submitted to the Committee on Science, Space, and Technology, and the Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation in the Senate within 120 days of the bill's enactment.
