This bill amends Title XVIII of the Social Security Act to limit cost-sharing for drugs under the Medicare Part D program. Specifically, the bill caps the cost-sharing for a month's supply of a covered Part D drug to the average net price of that drug or the applicable cash price, whichever is lower. The "average net price" refers to the average amount paid under the plan, including any cost-sharing by the individual, minus any rebates or other remuneration received by the plan. The bill also requires a Government Accountability Office (GAO) report on compliance and enforcement of these amendments by 2029.
