This bill amends the labor law to establish a model neurodiversity awareness training program. The Department of Labor, in consultation with the Division of Human Rights and the Department of Health, will produce this interactive training program, which will include a definition of neurodiversity, examples of neurodivergent behavior, best practices for fostering an inclusive workplace, information on employees' rights, and other relevant content. Employers in New York State must either use this model training program or establish an equivalent program to provide annual neurodiversity awareness training to all their employees.
