This bill amends the Legislative Branch Appropriation Act of 1975 to exclude the square footage of office space used for security or safety enhancements authorized by the Senate Committee on Rules and Administration and approved by the Sergeant at Arms and Doorkeeper of the Senate from the aggregate square feet of office space calculation. Additionally, the bill allows the costs of building security and safety measures, such as guard services, access control, and facility monitoring, to be excluded from the annual rental rate calculation for Senators' offices, as long as these costs are itemized separately and approved by the Sergeant at Arms.
