This bill creates a new Florida statute, Section 320.0603, which allows a person who holds a valid, active license or permit issued by a county or municipality to operate a vehicle for hire to operate a vehicle for hire in any other county or municipality without being subject to additional licensing or permit requirements or fees, provided they are domiciled in the county or municipality that issued their license or permit and have not had their license or permit suspended or revoked in the past 5 years. The bill defines "seaport" and "airport" and specifies that this new reciprocity provision does not apply to airports or seaports, and it also does not grant counties, municipalities, or special districts the authority to regulate or license vehicles for hire, which is required by other Florida law. Finally, the bill exempts from this reciprocity provision those who provide transportation services for persons on stretchers or wheelchairs or with disabilities, illnesses, or other incapacitations.
